The Village of Posen is in communication with ComEd as they work on restoring approximately 600 outages in Posen. At this time ComEd has not provided an estimated restoration time. We will provide updates to the public as we receive them.

If your power is out, remember to stay safe:

• Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible. • Use flashlights instead of candles to reduce fire risk. • Never operate generators indoors or in enclosed spaces. • Unplug sensitive electronics to protect them from power surges when service is restored. • Treat all downed power lines as energized and stay far away. • Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may need assistance.

Mayor Frank Podbielniak is pleased to announce the return of the Posen Beautification Awards. This year the Mayor is also inviting Posen Businesses to participate as well. Today we recognize the Silver Flash Diner located at 145th and Kedzie. The flowers and decorations outside and inside their business are beautifully done!!! I think everyone would agree. Nice Work Silver Flash!!!

🌟 A True Example of Leadership in Posen! 🌟
We are incredibly proud to highlight a moment of true community spirit this week. A huge thank you to our Mayor, who proved that no job is too small when it comes to taking care of our home.
Dressed in his reflective vest, our Mayor spent time walking up and down 147th Street—from Western all the way to Kedzie—personally picking up litter to keep our streets clean and welcoming for everyone.
Leadership is about more than just making decisions at Village Hall; it’s about rolling up your sleeves and doing the work to make our village better, one piece of litter at a time. Thank you, Mayor, for leading by example and showing us all what it means to be dedicated to the Village of Posen!
Let’s all take a page out of his book and do our part to keep our streets beautiful. If you see a piece of trash, pick it up—every little bit helps! 🧹✨
