Dixon Rural Fire Protection District Dixon Rural Fire Protection District was established in 1969. DRFPD provides coverage for approximately 250 square miles that covers parts of 3 counties.

Very high fire danger!!!

Hot, dry, and windy conditions will make for Elevated to locally Significant fire danger today. Outdoor burning is discouraged except by experienced fire personnel.

Elevated to significant fire danger will occur on Sunday as a dry air mass and gusty winds occur. A cold front will move south through the area Sunday afternoon and evening. Southwesterly winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 30 mph will occur south of the front northerly winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph will occur behind the front.

While on the structure fire on Cambridge Ln, we had some trees catch fire. One in particular was close to the house with branches extending over.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the call out crew at Gascosage for responding and assisting with removing these branches over the residence.

The other night the dept had a structure fire in the 17000 block of Cambridge Ln. We would like to extend our gratitude to the mutual aid departments that assisted us in putting out the fire as well for water support.
Crocker Fire Protection District, Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District, Tri-County Fire Protection District, Ft Wood Fire, St. Robert Fire and Rescue, once again thank you for your assistance!

An unseasonably warm and dry airmass with low afternoon humidity will result in an elevated fire risk today.

Gusty southwest winds and low humidity will create elevated to significant fire danger across the area on Tuesday. Afternoon temperatures will warm into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Due to the danger, outside burning is discouraged except by experienced fire personnel.
