Suspect in St. Robert Case Taken into Custody

On July 29, 2026, Dixon officers were called out to the area of E Country Club Rd after getting word that a person of interest in a St. Robert investigation was in the area with stolen property.

Officers located and took Robert Nunnaley, 35, of Dixon, into custody without incident. He was turned over to the St. Robert Police Department and placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Burglary and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

We want to thank the St. Robert Police Department for their work on this case. Situations like this are a good reminder of why cooperation between local agencies matters, it's how cases like this get solved.

As always, Mr. Nunnaley is presumed innocent, and these charges are only allegations at this point.

Meet Officer Zachary Willard

The City of Dixon is pleased to welcome Officer Zachary Willard to the Dixon Police Department. Officer Willard was recently sworn in alongside Chief Bryan Gibbs and Officer Paul Morton and joins the department with a strong background in service, leadership, and dedication to his community.

Officer Willard began his military career in 2015 as a Combat Engineer with the North Dakota Army National Guard before transferring to active-duty service in 2017. During his military career, he deployed overseas, supported border security operations, and completed specialized military training, including Mine Detection Dog Handler training. Officer Willard proudly served until separating from the United States Army in 2024 after achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Continuing his commitment to education and public service, Officer Willard earned his Associate’s Degree from American Military University in February 2026. He later graduated from the Lincoln University Police Academy in St. Robert, Missouri, in May 2026, beginning the next chapter of his career in law enforcement.

Officer Willard is excited to serve the Dixon community and is committed to building trust, strengthening relationships, and making a positive impact through professional and dedicated service. His military experience, leadership background, and commitment to public service will be a valuable asset to the Dixon Police Department.

Outside of his career, Officer Willard enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. He credits his family as his greatest source of motivation and looks forward to serving the citizens of Dixon with integrity, professionalism, and dedication.

Meet Officer Paul Morton

The City of Dixon is pleased to welcome Officer Paul Morton to the Dixon Police Department. Officer Morton was recently sworn in alongside Chief Bryan Gibbs and Officer Zachary Willard and brings more than a decade of law enforcement experience, leadership, and dedication to serving the community.

Officer Morton has approximately 12 years of law enforcement experience serving the communities of Richland, Pulaski County, and Dixon. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of roles, including Patrolman, Supervisor, Assistant Chief, and Detective. These positions have provided him with extensive experience in patrol operations, investigations, leadership, and community service.

Before beginning his law enforcement career, Officer Morton proudly served in the United States Army as an Air Traffic Controller, where he developed valuable skills in communication, discipline, and responsibility.

Officer Morton earned his Bachelor’s Degree through Drury University and has completed specialized training in areas including Crime Scene Investigations, Negotiations, and other areas of law enforcement. His experience, training, and leadership background will be a valuable asset to the Dixon Police Department.

Officer Morton is committed to continuing his service to the community by promoting safety, building positive relationships with citizens, and providing professional and dedicated law enforcement services to the City of Dixon.

Outside of his career, Officer Morton enjoys spending time with his four children, who are currently attending high school. His family remains an important source of motivation as he continues his commitment to public service.

As we continue introducing the members of the Dixon Police Department, we're proud to introduce our new Assistant Police Chief, Brett Parrott.

With more than 20 years of military and law enforcement experience, Assistant Chief Parrott brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and dedication to serving the citizens of Dixon.

Assistant Chief Parrott began his career as a Military Police Officer with the United States Army and Army National Guard, serving more than two decades in the military, including 12 years in military policing. Following his military service, he spent seven years with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office as a Corporal before serving with the Waynesville Police Department.

A graduate of the Drury Law Enforcement Academy, Assistant Chief Parrott has studied Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Terrorism, and Security Administration through Park University. He is a Missouri POST-certified Generalist and Specialist Instructor, a certified Taser Instructor, and has completed extensive advanced training in leadership, emergency management, active shooter response, FEMA programs, and Department of Defense security operations.

Assistant Chief Parrott believes that effective policing is built on trust, transparency, and strong partnerships with the community. He is committed to serving the citizens of Dixon with professionalism, integrity, and respect while helping lead the department into an exciting new chapter.

Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsay, their children, and extended family. Family is at the center of his life and continues to inspire his dedication to public service.

Assistant Chief Parrott has already been officially sworn in so he can begin fulfilling the duties of his position. He will also participate in a public ceremonial swearing-in at the next Dixon City Council meeting, and we invite our community to attend.

City of Dixon Welcomes Chief Bryan Gibbs

The City of Dixon is excited to welcome Bryan Gibbs as the new Chief of Police for the Dixon Police Department.

For Chief Gibbs, accepting this position is more than the next step in his career; it's a return to where it all began. Dixon is where he first started his career in law enforcement, making this appointment a meaningful homecoming. After more than 14 years of serving communities throughout Missouri, he now returns to lead the department.

Chief Gibbs brings vast law enforcement experience, but just as importantly, he brings a commitment to serving communities with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. Throughout his career, he has worked to build trust with the people he serves while helping keep neighborhoods safe through strong leadership and community partnerships.

A lifelong public servant, Chief Gibbs has served in several law enforcement roles across central Missouri. Most recently, he worked as an Investigator with the Camden County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, where he partnered with law enforcement agencies and prosecutors on complex felony investigations. Prior to that, he served as Detective Sergeant with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, supervising criminal investigations and mentoring fellow officers. His career also includes service with the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and the St. Robert Police Department.

Over the years, Chief Gibbs has earned numerous certifications and instructor credentials, including Missouri POST Specialist Instructor, ALERRT Active Shooter Instructor, and ALICE Instructor. He is also a licensed Missouri Class A Peace Officer and has completed extensive advanced training in criminal investigations, constitutional law, leadership, emergency response, and crisis management. His commitment to professional development reflects his dedication to providing the highest level of service to the communities he serves.

While his résumé reflects an impressive career, those who know Chief Gibbs recognize his dedication to helping others and his belief that successful policing begins with communication, accountability, and mutual respect. He values getting to know the people he serves and believes that strong relationships between officers and the community are essential to creating a safe place for families and businesses to thrive. His leadership philosophy emphasizes transparency, professionalism, and working together to solve problems.

Chief Gibbs is married, has children, and makes his home in Waynesville, Missouri. He is looking forward to becoming part of the Dixon community, meeting residents, supporting local events, and working alongside city officials, businesses, schools, and community organizations to continue strengthening public safety.

Mayor Mary Wiles and the Dixon Board of Aldermen are pleased to welcome Chief Gibbs to the City of Dixon. His experience, leadership, and commitment to public service make him an outstanding addition to our community, and we look forward to the positive impact he will have on the Dixon Police Department.

Chief Gibbs will be officially sworn into office during the City Council meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, which begins at 6:00 p.m. at Dixon City Hall. 💙 No, we didn’t get too close to a Smurf.

If you’ve seen a blue ambulance around town, here’s the story.

Dixon Ambulance District recently acquired a 2015 Chevrolet Express Wheeled Coach ambulance that previously served with the U.S. Air Force. While it isn’t brand new, it is new to us.

The unit has just 23,000 miles and 1,300 engine hours. It is exceptionally well preserved, virtually untouched, and the cab still has that new-vehicle smell.

With new ambulances now costing between $220,000 and $420,000, this purchase saved the District well over $200,000 compared to purchasing a new unit.

Over the coming weeks, we'll outfit the ambulance with radios, medical equipment, graphics, and other equipment before placing it into service.

We're buying depreciation instead of paying for it. It's proof that buying smart doesn't always mean buying new.

Our responsibility is to provide safe, reliable emergency medical care while ensuring every taxpayer dollar is spent wisely. We believe this ambulance is a perfect example of that commitment.

And yes... we're keeping it blue. 💙🚑
