We spent the day with WCMS’s 8th graders at the Webster County Courthouse for our Truth and Consequences program. We hope the students walked away with a new perspective on the reality of the consequences that can result from one bad decision. Special thanks to all involved in making this day a success!

Our last visit with the students of WC’s Apex 2.0 for the 25-26 school year was filled with fun dairy facts 🥛, lots of measuring of ingredients 🥄, cold hands that “churned” 🥶 and a baggie full of icecream topped with sprinkles! 🍦

The students made their own icecream in a bag and they did a great job!

Got the opportunity to hang out with WC’s 5th graders last Friday. We talked about Nutrition and how eating a balanced diet is fuel for your body. They’ve been challenged with eating less sugar and more from the 5 food groups, drinking more water and making sure their bodies are staying active. 💪🏻 Let’s get happier and healthier together! 🙌🏻

Hanging with the students of Apex 2.0

We played in the “dirt” and learned about the layers of soil as we made our own edible soil.

I was also excited to be a witness to the releasing of Mrs. Wright’s class butterflies, too! 🦋

The students in Mrs. Wright’s Apex 2.0 sure do know how to use their creativity! They “engineered” and decorated “Love Shacks” to get us all in the spirit of Valentine’s Day! ❤️

Last week we hung out with the WCHS students at Apex and introduced them to small kitchen appliance cooking! We made cheese quesadillas in a pan on the stovetop as well as in quesadilla makers! We warmed cheese for chips in a crockpot and used can openers and pizza cutters to prepare our meal! Special thanks to Mrs. Wright for allowing us to hang out!

Last week was full of Christmas Cheer around the Office, especially when the Kindergarten Clay Jets arrived for a morning of Christmas Fun!! Our Extension Elves had a blast with them and Santa did too! I think he might’ve even said they were ALL on his NICE list 🎅🏼
