Hope Cancer Wellness Center will provide an environment that offers guidance to cancer patients and their families from diagnosis, treatment, and recovery through education, support, and therapeutic services. If you are an active cancer patient, a cancer survivor, family member, friend or caregiver, just give us a call. We offer supportive, wellness and educational type services to all free of charge. What motivated me to join the board was the mission of helping people who are already facing tough times. I admire how Hope is always there for those who ask for help and actively seeks ways to assist anyone and everyone they can!

In addition to serving as a board member, I am a mother and a wife. I have a 15-year-old son named Owen and a 12-year-old daughter named Amelia, and my husbandโ€™s name is Kevin. We own Hicks Insurance Agency and have been together for 17 years. Owen participates in football and wrestling, while Amelia plays travel volleyball and is also on her schoolโ€™s volleyball and basketball teams, so we stay busy with sports! We also run the Dixon Jr. Dukes football program. Additionally, I am actively involved with Discover Dixon as a chamber ambassador and with the United Way of Lee County.

I recently completed a 17-month battle with breast cancer, and I can personally attest to how incredible the center has been during my journey. The services provided were invaluable to me throughout my fight, which is why my friend Riley and I organized a t-shirt fundraiser. We donated the proceeds from those sales to Hope!

Yesterday, at Hope CWC, our patients and community members gathered for our Stones of Strength program. We painted inspirational rocks with messages of hope, courage, healing, and encouragement to place throughout the community for others to discover. ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŽจ

Each stone represents a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful impact. Whether found on a walking trail, outside a store, or in someone's path on a difficult day, we hope these messages bring comfort and connection to those who need it most.
