Update: North Ellen Street is now open.

Update: Due to wet weather conditions, and to ensure the public safety, North Ellen Street will remain closed until crews are able to install the culvert. 

Street Closure Notice

Please be advised that North Ellen Street will be temporarily closed between Country Club and 10th Street until approximately 4:30 PM today.

The City of Dixon Public Works crew will be working in the area to install a culvert. Please use an alternate route during this time and use caution around the work area.

Road Update: N. Ellen Street is Now Open!

The City of Dixon is pleased to announce that N. Ellen Street has reopened to through traffic following the completion of this phase of the sewer improvement project.

We appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and cooperation while our Public Works crews completed this important work. Your support helped us complete the project safely and efficiently.

Road Closure Notice

Beginning Monday, July 27, N Ellen Street will be closed to through traffic between Country Club Drive and 10th Street as the City of Dixon Public Works Department begins Phase 1 of the Country Club Sewer Improvement Project.

For your safety and the safety of our crews, please do not drive around or move construction barriers. These barriers are in place to protect the public and allow crews to work safely.

Please stay out of the construction zone at all times. The work site may contain open excavations, heavy equipment, and other hazards that can be dangerous to pedestrians and motorists alike.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important infrastructure improvements for our community. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe!

Dixon Police Department: Phone Line Update

As we continue our transition to full-time coverage, here's what you need to know about calling the Dixon Police Department:

Call us at 573-759-6610. Your call will automatically forward to the phone carried by our on-duty officer and will be answered unless they're already handling another call.

If no officer is currently on duty, your call will be routed to the county, who is covering for us during this transition period while our officers complete training ahead of full 24/7 coverage.

• Emergency? County dispatch will respond directly.

• Non-emergency? County will take down your information and pass it along to us, and we'll follow up.

We appreciate your patience as we work toward full-time coverage for our community!
