Option 1: College Credit Pathway
Requirements:
• Minimum of 60 semester credit hours from a regionally accredited college or university

Option 2: Greenbush Training Pathway
Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Completion of Greenbush Emergency Substitute Training Modules
• Verification of hire from a local school district

Rockin' Recorder Camp is underway today! 🎶

Students in grades 3–5 are building their musical skills and learning to play the recorder at Rockin' Recorder Camp. Hosted by Student and Family Engagement, the camp provides a fun, engaging opportunity for young musicians to explore music, practice new techniques, and make music together. 🎵🎼

Today's Pop-Up Camp: Kitchen Chemistry is hosted by Student and Family Engagement

Today at Pop-Up Camp, students explored kitchen chemistry by learning how ingredients can change when they are combined. They made Ice Cream in a Bag, mixing milk, sugar, and vanilla in a small bag, then placing it inside a larger bag filled with ice and salt.

As students shook the bags, they observed a chemical and physical science process in action. The salt lowered the freezing temperature of the ice, allowing the ice cream mixture to become cold enough to freeze into a delicious treat. Students learned that when ingredients are combined and conditions change, different reactions and transformations can occur.

The best part? They got to enjoy their homemade ice cream while learning about science!

Science + teamwork + a tasty treat = a great day at camp!

🏀 Middle School Boys Basketball Camp is underway this week! Players are learning the fundamentals of the game, improving their skills, and building teamwork through drills, competition, and plenty of hard work. We're excited to see their growth on and off the court!

Today's Pop-Up Camp, hosted by Student and Family Engagement, featured Uniquely Me (Watercolor). Students had fun experimenting with watercolors and expressing their creativity. They then created self-portraits that celebrated their individuality and unique qualities.

🏀 The DCHS Men's Basketball Camp is underway this week!

Campers are learning the fundamentals of basketball, including shooting, passing, ball handling, defense, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It's been great to see their hard work, enthusiasm, and growth on the court as they build skills and confidence each day.

“Raise the Bar” Pole Vaulting Camp

The Raise the Bar Pole Vaulting Camp is designed to help athletes develop and refine their pole vaulting skills in a safe, supportive, and challenging environment. Participants will receive expert coaching focused on improving vaulting technique, strength, speed, and overall athletic performance. The camp emphasizes proper fundamentals, injury prevention, and safety practices while providing drills and training sessions tailored to athletes of various skill levels. Whether you are new to pole vaulting or looking to reach new heights, this camp will help you build confidence, improve performance, and achieve your goals.

Dodge City USD 443 is investing in the future of education through the Kansas Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program (RTAP), and apprentice teacher Carlos Teran is a shining example of its impact.

Since beginning the program in August 2024, Carlos has combined hands-on classroom experience with his studies at Kansas State University, building strong relationships with students and growing as an educator under the mentorship of third-grade teacher Blake Cook. Together, they are helping students succeed while demonstrating the power of collaboration in the classroom.

RTAP is helping USD 443 address teacher shortages by developing talented educators from within the community. What started with one apprentice has grown to nearly 20, creating a stronger pipeline of future teachers who are committed to Dodge City and its students.

By investing in aspiring educators like Carlos, USD 443 is not only filling classrooms—it is building the next generation of teachers right here at home. 🍎📚
