While the grasses may be green, crops are definitely drying out. The combination of strong southerly winds, warm temperatures, and dry fields could lead to very high to extreme fire danger on Saturday. Please exercise extreme caution as any fires that do develop could spread quickly and become difficult to control.

Once again we are reaching the point of talking about fire danger for the harvest season. Saturday has winds projected from 20-30 mph so farmers please have a disc or some sort of equipment ready while harvesting! Stay safe and Happy harvest!

The Dodge Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank Diers Ford for bringing out 2 Electric vehicles for our training night. As well as State Fire Marshal Bill Pfeifer for instructing the class so we can all be better prepared for emergency situations dealing with EVs. Also joining the class were Snyder Volunteer Fire & Rescue and Howells Volunteer Fire Department
