Bloomfield Prairie

Bloomfield Prairie Hundreds of beautiful acres of recreation area open to the public year round. Free! Grassland birds, prairie plants and more. Well behaved dogs welcome.

The public is invited to enjoy and explore this diverse recreation area located near Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. ICRPR is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring prairie lands, conserving natural resources and providing habitat for birds, animals and other wildlife. ICRPR also seeks to provide opportunities for outdoor recreation and environmental education. These goal

s are accomplished primarily with volunteers, who help maintain hundreds of acres of public land. There are two main parking areas. Pull in by the red barn a quarter mile east of Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center on County CH or turn in the gravel road 1/8th mile west of Bloomfield on the south side of the road and park by the pond/pavilion.
