Volunteer Spotlight 💙🐾

Meet one of the many volunteers who make the Iowa County Humane Society run. 💙

Our Brew Crew kittens were so thankful for her TLC. Look at those sleepy faces. When a kitten decides your lap is the best spot in the building, you've done something right. 😻

We couldn't do what we do without our volunteers. They give their time and care, and that helps us keep a calm, welcoming space for our animals, our staff, and everyone who walks through our doors.

To this volunteer and all of our volunteers: thank you. You make a difference for every animal who comes through our doors. 🐱

Interested in volunteering with us? Message us or stop by the shelter to learn how you can help!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: LOCAL MOM FINALLY GETS THE HOUSE TO HERSELF! 🚨😂🐱

Meet Autumn. 🧡

Yesterday, her LAST kitten was adopted, and for the first time in who knows how long, this mama is officially an EMPTY NESTER! 🎉

And let’s just say… she’s ready to enjoy this new chapter of her life.

No more tiny roommates.
No more midnight screaming.
No more cooking for ungrateful children who act like they’ve NEVER been fed. 🙄
No more raising kids who grow up, move out, and forget to pay rent.

Sound familiar, moms? 😂

Autumn has officially entered her “I raised my babies, now it’s MY turn” era. 💅

She’s ready for a peaceful home, a comfy couch, someone who appreciates her, and maybe a few snacks that she doesn’t have to share with anyone who calls her “Mom.”

Honestly? Same, Autumn. SAME. 😂❤️

Now all she needs is someone willing to give her the retirement package she deserves: a loving home, a cozy spot to nap, and a family who will spoil HER for a change.

🐾 Autumn is ready to trade motherhood for motherhood's perks: unconditional love, comfy naps, and absolutely no college tuition.

Could you be the one to give this retired mama her happily-ever-after? 🏡🧡

📍 Meet Autumn at the Iowa County Humane Society!

Let’s get this girl adopted so she can finally stop asking, “Has anyone seen my kids?” and start asking, “When’s dinner?” 😂

❤️ Adopt Autumn. She’s done raising a family. Now let her be the baby.

Meet Gristol! 🐾

Her finders named her after a video game they love, and she's already a hit with everyone at ICHS.

Gristol is a 6-month-old female kitten with a coat you have to see in person. Her silver-gray fur is swirled with bold charcoal marks, with ringed stripes down her tail and a little white bib on her chest. Then there are those golden-green eyes. She looks right at you like she already knows you're hers.

She's sweet, curious, and happy to lean in for snuggles. She'll be a fun, loving companion for the lucky person who gets to bring her home. 💛

She's still young, so she has lots of playtime, lap time, and growing up ahead of her. Maybe you're the one to share it with her.

Ready to meet her? Stop by the Iowa County Humane Society in Dodgeville or message us to set up a visit. Gristol is ready for her new home! 🏡

🐾 Adoption Update: Willow! 🐾

Willow is officially Willow for good! Her family tried out other names, but this one fit her so well they couldn't part with it. 💕

We just heard from her family, and Willow is thriving in her new home. Her sweet, docile side is still there, but her personality is really shining now. She gets nightly zoomies, loves belly rubs, and learns so quickly that she does tricks for treats. 🐶

She loves running free at the farm. This summer, with a little help from her doggy friend Bella (pictured with her), she even learned to swim! 🏊‍♀️

In her new family's words: "We love her so much & are so happy we found each other!"❤️

Thank you for opening your hearts and your farm to Willow. Updates like this are the reason we do what we do. 🏡

Are you ready to find your own best friend? Stop by the Iowa County Humane Society and meet our adoptable animals!
