Daffodil Field

Daffodil Field The Adams Memorial Daffodil Field is a 4 acre field of daffodils. It is open one weekend each year. The 2017 dates are March 3, 4, and 5.

In the late 1980s, Thera Lou Temple Adams and Henry Nelton Adams bought land that had originally belonged to his grandparents. Soon, they started to dig and divide the old bulbs that had multiplied from the grandparent's old home place. They would plant them where they could be seen by Henry Nelton's father. Long before they were able to finish filling in the field, Henry Nelton became ill with ca

ncer and passed away after three years. Thera Lou found that it helped her through her grief to continue planting. Now the four acres are totally covered with blooming daffodils. Every year Thera Lou opens the field to the public for 3 days as a tribute to Henry Nelton.

We have about 2 rules,
1. Pull in well past the gate without hesitation. We don’t want anyone trapped behind you on Highway 34.
