LMRFD answered the call for help on a wildland fire assignment in New Mexico. Our Type 6 Engine is currently assigned to the Frijoles Fire just outside of Santa Fe.
Our Type 6 Engine is staffed with LMRFD Engine Boss Kris Schmidt, LMRFD Firefighter/ Paramedic Ken Powers, and LMRFD EMT Eric Frank.
We want to wish them a safe assignment and a safe trip home.

Our ambulance is staffed with LMRFD Paramedic Jeff Lockwood, LMRFD EMT Eric Frank.

Promotion to Captain is more than earning a new badge it represents years of hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and a commitment to serving both our department and our community. These leaders have demonstrated the character, professionalism, and integrity required to guide others through both everyday challenges and the moments that matter most.

We must say goodbye to an incredible Battalion Chief Pagliero as he begins a new chapter. Your leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to this department will leave a lasting mark on every Firefighter, Medic, EMT, and member of our community. You led with strength, integrity, and heart, setting an example that inspired those around you every day. While we’re sad to see you go, we’re grateful for the time we had to serve alongside you. The impact you’ve made won’t be forgotten, and your legacy will continue through the people you’ve mentored and the lives you’ve touched. The LMRFD and the community of Dolan Springs feels the loss of three brave wildland firefighters. These wildland firefighters gave everything to protect and serve, the residents and fellow crew members affected by the fire that is on the Colorado-Utah state line.
To their families and fellow crew members, we are very sorry for your loss. You are not alone. We are with you in spirit. We also want to send prayers and strength to the 2 injured firefighters who are recovering at this time.
Please hold these heroes and their loved ones in your prayers and close to your heart as they deal with this loss. We will honor their memory and their ultimate sacrifice. We will never forget.

LMRFD answered the call for help on a wildland fire in Arizona. Our Type 6 are currently assigned to the Pocket Fire just outside of Sedona.
Our Engine is staffed with LMRFD Engine Boss Kris Schmidt, LMRFD Firefighter Brody Livermore, and KFD Firefighter/ Engine Boss trainee Treyton Dupee.
