History of 104 North Main Street Dolgeville, NY
1868 Brockett’s Bridge shows a hotel there.
1894 Sanborn map shows a two story dwelling on the south with a feed store on the north side of the building.

In 1895, James E. Crowley moved into the Leavitt Block that was on the corner of N. Main and East State Street by the bridge. He ran the Meat Market there. There was a jewelry store on the other side of the building. It was listed as 98 N. Main Street and later renumbered to 104 N. Main Street.
1898 Sanborn Map shows Meat market on the north, in the middle barber and a jewelry store on the side of the building.
1902 -98 Crowley Meat Market 1906 Crowley Meat Market and a feed store on the south side of the building.
1912 Sanborn map shows a 100 barber shop was 2 stories on the north side, 102 meat market in the middle and 104 flour and feed store on the south side are 3 stories.
By 1912 102 N. Street -James E. Crowley has a partner Reinhardt Ortlieb. The new partnership is called Crowley & Ortlieb Meat Market.
1925 Sanborn Map

Reinhardt Ortlieb bought out James E. Crowley. The meat market remained at 102 N. Main Street until1970.
1971 is vacant. By 1973 it was known as Foster’s Corner Market run by Harry F. Foster.
1975-1077 – Relique Shoppe – Antiques owned by Esther Stewart.
1978- Broken Arrow Second Hand Store - Ray Cahill
1979 vacant
1980 Henry Shepard 2ne hand shop
1984 - 1985 Forget Me Not Florist – Anne Jacquay
1986-2002 Vacant
2003 - Austin’s Plumbing and Heating owned by Larry Austin. I don’t know when it was sold.
100 North Main Street from 1947 – 1962 Market Basket Corp. was run by William H. Kuehnle. After that 100 is listed as vacant.
102 Archibald McCarthy lived there with his wife Ruth 1947-1971
