Lineup on Greenwood Rd from MLK to Sibley starting at 11am. The parade kicks off at 12pm, and right after that join us on Cottage Grove from Sibley to 154th St for our Festival. We will have free food, games, rides, music, and special performances. Celebrating Juneteenth: A Message of Unity, Respect, and Progress

Dear Dolton Residents,

Today, we come together to commemorate Juneteenth, a day of profound historical significance that marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in the United States. This day is a reminder of our shared history and the ongoing journey toward equality and justice for all.

As your mayor, I am committed to fostering a community where every individual feels valued, respected, and heard. Juneteenth is not only a celebration of freedom but also an opportunity to reflect on our collective responsibility to build a more inclusive and compassionate society.

In Dolton, we are a tapestry of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. This diversity is our strength, and it is through understanding and respecting one another that we can truly thrive. Today, let us honor the resilience and contributions of Black Americans and recommit ourselves to the principles of equality and justice.

Police Departments statewide will be participating in Dunkin's 22nd annual Cop on a Rooftop event to benefit Special Olympics Illinois. Support your Dolton Police Department as they collect donations!

Friday, May 17th 5am-12noon

All proceeds will benefit the special Olympics.
