The Dolton Park District and UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial proudly hosted the 3rd Annual ALL Cancer Awareness Walk & Health Fair. Our Village of Dolton, IL community came together to celebrate survivors, honor loved ones we’ve lost, support those who are fighting, and raise awareness for ALL cancers.

Jack is missed every single day. It is an incredible honor and privilege to continue the work he dedicated so much of his life to. We carry his memory with us, and will carry forward his commitment to serving others.

Today reminded us that cancer touches so many lives. It reminds us to cherish our loved ones, never take our health for granted, schedule those regular checkups, stay current with recommended screenings, and make healthy choices whenever we can.

Today, Bud’s Ambulance was honored to be part of the Stone Soul Picnic in Harvey!

We had a great time being out in the community, enjoying the event, and connecting with the families, residents, and community partners who make Harvey such a great place to serve. Events like Stone Soul Picnic give our crews the chance to experience our community in a different way and remind us why the work we do extends far beyond responding to 9-1-1 calls.

A big thank you to everyone who came out, visited with our crews, and helped make today such a great event. We’re proud to serve Harvey and grateful to be welcomed into the communities we call home.

The Dolton Fire Department and Dolton Firefighters Local 3766 invite residents to a special Public Safety Event focused on providing information, resources, and practical tools to help keep you and your family safe, healthy, and prepared.

• 🛡️ U.S. Secret Service Presentation — Learn about scams, fraud prevention, and ways to protect yourself

This friendly and informative event is an opportunity to ask questions, receive valuable resources, and learn steps you can take to stay safe and prepared.

🤝 On behalf of Mayor Jason House, the Board of Trustees, and the Office of the Village Clerk, we encourage residents to take advantage of this important community safety event.

Last night, Bud's Ambulance was proud to participate in National Night Out alongside our local public safety partners and the communities we are honored to serve.

Events like National Night Out provide a wonderful opportunity to meet our neighbors, answer questions, and connect with the families and individuals who trust us to provide emergency medical care when they need it most. Building strong relationships with our communities is just as important as the care we deliver, and we are grateful for every chance to engage outside of emergency situations.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our ambulance, met our crews, explored the ambulance, and spent time with us. We truly enjoy getting to know the people we serve and appreciate the continued support from our community.

We look forward to seeing you all again at future community events!

Well deserved!! Ricardo is an amazing person and paramedic! 🚑

Ricardo Rosas currently serves as a Lead Paramedic with Bud’s Ambulance, providing 911 emergency services to several underserved communities in the south suburbs of Chicago. He began his career with Bud’s as a full-time EMT alongside a close friend and progressed from a well-rounded EMT to an exceptional paramedic through dedication and hard work. Ricardo has been with Bud’s Ambulance since 2022. He enrolled in the Malcolm X College Paramedic Program in the fall of 2023. Following an unforeseen setback, he demonstrated resilience by extending his program timeline by one year and repeating his internship with the Chicago Fire Department. He successfully graduated in September 2025, maintaining a positive attitude and strong commitment throughout the process. Since joining Bud’s Ambulance, Ricardo has shown remarkable personal and professional growth. His determination and perseverance in overcoming significant challenges exemplify his dedication to the field of emergency medicine. Ricardo has been recognized multiple times by the South Cook County EMS System and Bud’s Ambulance for outstanding patient care, including life-saving interventions in two separate incidents. He is a strong patient advocate who consistently treats those in his care with compassion and respect, as if they were members of his own family.
