Joint training next week.

🚨 Joint Training Notice 🚨

The Seminole County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) will be hosting a multi-agency emergency services training exercise next week July 13-17, 2026) at Seminole County High School.

Throughout the week, residents will notice an increased presence of fire, EMS, law enforcement, and other emergency response vehicles on campus. This is only a planned training exercise, and there is no cause for concern.

Seminole County EMA would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Seminole County School System for their continued partnership and for allowing the use of the high school to conduct this valuable training. Opportunities like this help ensure our emergency responders remain prepared to serve and protect our community.

Georgia's Mason Sells AED Coordination Act Takes Effect
Seminole County E-911 is pleased to announce the implementation of Georgia Senate Bill 399, the Mason Sells AED Coordination Act, which strengthens emergency response for victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

Beginning July 1, 2026, the law requires Automated External Defibrillator (AED) owners to register their devices with their local 9-1-1 center. This allows emergency dispatchers to identify nearby AEDs and guide callers to them while emergency responders are on the way, improving the chances of survival during a cardiac emergency. Businesses, schools, churches, community organizations, and other AED owners are encouraged to register the location of their AEDs with our office.

Logan’s List

In 2023, the State of Georgia Legislature passed H.B. 631, known as “Logan’s Law” or “Logan’s List”. Since then, Seminole County E-911 has been accepting submissions for individuals who fall under the law. Individuals who may benefit from being added to the list are those with non-verbal autism and those with physical, mental, or neurological disorders including dementia or Alzheimer’s. This list can also include those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with potential for violence, excitability or fear of lights, sirens, or loud noises. This is not an all-inclusive list.

This confidential information will be readily available to first responders during an emergency. Having access to this information prior to an emergency will allow those responding to be aware of any possible triggers that may intensify the situation. Information submitted to Seminole County E-911 will be added to our Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system as an address alert and will be accessed only during an emergency.

Update: The GeoComm employee will be driving a Mazda CX5 with tag "DDS 9474

In January 2026, Seminole County partnered with Geo-Comm, Inc (GeoComm) of Saint Cloud, MN to verify address information for us in the 9-1-1 dispatch center and for Next Generation 9-1-1 at the state level. This field verification process will enhance the accuracy of the countywide Address Point Layer, which is important for public safety purposes.

The field verification portion of the project will begin July 6th and continue through July 17th. The Field Technician will be visiting all areas of Seminole County. The technician will be driving all roads in throughout the county. While we do not have the vehicle description at this time, the vehicle with be clearly marked the GeoComm logo. The field technician will only need to verify the location of the structure and the address number. Field technicians will not approach any structures to speak to residents. You may see the GeoComm vehicle come up your driveway, then turn around and leave.

If your house number is not currently posted, you are encouraged to post it.
