On 5/1 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Ripley 142E-20A for an animal trespass complaint. The victim reported a neighbor's chickens had come onto her property. The owner was contacted and agreed to keep the animals on her property.
On 5/1 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Ripley 142E-22 for a domestic disturbance. No violence was reported and no charges were filed.
On 5/1 Bobbie Scallion (46, of Doniphan) was arrested at her residence on Hwy 21N. Scallion was booked on a Ripley County warrant for driving while revoked or suspended ($500 bond) and she was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/2 the sheriff's office responded to a property on Ripley U-3 for a report of dogs attacking livestock. The victim said neighbors witnessed the dogs chasing cattle, but no one knew they belonged to.
On 5/2 the sheriff's office responded to a property on Ripley BB-1 for a trespassing complaint. The victim reported a neighbor pounded on the outside of their house and shouted, "It's your neighbor from across the road." They asked that he stay off their property. The suspect said he entered the property to get his dog, and knocked and identified himself so they would know who was outside. He agreed to stay off their property.
On 5/2 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Hwy 142E for a domestic disturbance. The victim reported her adult daughter threatened her during an argument. The suspect agreed to leave the residence and no charges were filed.
On 5/3 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Hwy 160E in Fairdealing for a dispute between neighbors. Neither party wanted to press charges.
On 5/3 a maroon 2005 Toyota passenger vehicle was reported abandoned on the side of Ripley 142E-42. The vehicle was disabled following a motor vehicle accident April 26. The vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene.
On 5/3 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Hwy 160E in Fairdealing for a domestic disturbance. The parties reported they had argued but there had been no violence, and neither wanted to press charges.
On 5/4 the sheriff's office responded to a property on Ripley K-5 for a property dispute. The victim reported that he recently purchased the property, and the previous owner returned to remove junk vehicles without his permission.
On 5/4 Brittany Murphy (45, of Doniphan) was booked at the Ripley County Jail on Ripley County warrants for stealing ($20,000.00 bond) and possession of a controlled substance ($20,000.00 bond).
On 5/5 the sheriff's office received a domestic assault complaint. The victim complained that her juvenile son punched her in the face and head and tried to choke her. At the time of the report the juvenile was with the father. The matter was referred to the juvenile office for review.
On 5/5 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Ripley 142W-1 for a trespassing complaint. The suspect agreed to leave at the property owner's request.
On 05-07-26 the sheriff's office responded to a report of a shooting incident on Ripley 142E-20D. An adult male suffered a single gunshot wound to the head, and was taken by Air Evac for medical treatment.
Ronnie Brawner (49, of Doniphan) was arrested on Hwy 142E at E Hwy without incident. Brawner was booked on charges of assault 1st degree, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and trespassing 1st degree. He was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/13 Candy Meadors (54, of Doniphan) was arrested at her residence on Ripley 142E-22. Meadors was booked on a Ripley County warrant for possession of a controlled substance ($20,000.00 bond) and she was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/13 Linda Wheeler (65, of Doniphan) was arrested at her residence on Ripley E-4A. Wheeler was booked on a Ripley County warrant for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia ($20,000.00 bond) and she was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/14 Madeline Bell (36, of Gatewood) was arrested at her residence on Route Z. Bell was booked on a warrant for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia ($20,000.00 bond) and she was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/15 Dustin Mason (28, of Naylor) was arrested at his residence on Lyons St. Mason was booked on a Butler County warrant for abuse or neglect of a child resulting in death (no bond) and he was released to the custody of a Butler County Deputy.
On 5/15 Houston Ball (36, of Fairdealing) was arrested at a residence on Ripley 142E-20. Ball was booked on a Ripley County warrant for failure to register as a s*x offender, aggravated fleeing, and traffic offenses ($50,000.00 bond); and an additional charge of possession of a controlled substance. Ball was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/22 the sheriff's office responded to Dollar General Store on Hwy 142 in Doniphan for a shoplifting complaint. A store manager reported she confronted two juvenile males that were suspected of stealing, and they fled the store on foot. She was familiar with both suspects and provided their names. Their parents were contacted and the matter was referred to the juvenile office.
On 5/22 Ezra Hopkins (53, of Doniphan) was arrested at his residence on Ripley C-10C. Hopkins was booked on a Ripley County warrant for possession of a controlled substance ($20,000.00 bond) and he was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/22 the sheriff's office responded to Rocky River Resort for a domestic disturbance. No injury was reported and no charges were filed.
On 5/23 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Ripley JJ-2 Hwy for a domestic disturbance. The victim reported her boyfriend flipped over a coffee table and left their residence during an argument. No injury was reported, and no charges were filed.
On 5/23 the sheriff's office responded to Rocky River Campground for a domestic disturbance. No injury was reported and charges were filed.
On 5/23 the sheriff's office received a report of a dog bite at a residence on Ripley 142W-A in Doniphan. The victim sought their own medical attention, and veterinary records confirmed the animal's rabies vaccination was current.
On 5/23 the sheriff's office received a complaint from Water District 2 that a customer had tampered with a meter at a residence on Ripley T-3 in Oxly.
On 5/23 Dustin Morse (36, of Doniphan) was arrested at a residence on East Summit St. Morse was booked on a charge of violation of a protection order and he was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/23 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Wood St in Naylor for a property damage complaint. The victim reported tires on two vehicles parked at the residence had been cut.
On 5/24 the sheriff's office received a report of a mailbox stolen from a property on Bluebell Ln in Doniphan. Efforts to contact the suspect failed and the matter was referred to the prosecuting attorney for review.
On 5/24 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Ripley 160E-28 for a medical assist. The victim was on the floor and unable to open a door for the ambulance crew. A deputy gained entry to the residence through a window and opened the front door.
On 5/24 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Hwy 160 in Fairdealing for a property damage complaint. The victim reported her adult son threatened her and scratched her car with a key.
On 5/24 Eric Kite (48, of Doniphan) was arrested at his residence on Trumpet Flower Rd. Kite was booked on charges of assault 3rd degree, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon, and he was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/28 the sheriff's office received a theft complaint. An adult male reported his ex-girlfriend stole $380.00 and burned personal property he left in her vehicle.
On 5/31 Brendon Rupp (23, of Doniphan) was arrested at his residence on Ripley 21N-4. Rupp was booked on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, harassment 1st degree, domestic assault 4th degree, and armed criminal action; and he was lodged in the Ripley County Jail.
On 5/31 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Wood St in Naylor. An adult male reported someone was spraying his house with a chemical that made the floor rise up and down and made the roof leak when it rained. During the investigation he admitted to regular ma*****na use.
On 5/31 the sheriff's office received a report of a dog bite at the Midway Campground. A juvenile female received a minor injury when she was bitten by a small dog running loose on the property.
On 5/31 the sheriff's office responded to a residence on Public Road in Naylor for a domestic disturbance. The victim reported her boyfriend assaulted her and choked her before he left their residence on a motorcycle. Efforts to locate the suspect failed and the matter was referred to the prosecutor's office.
