🇺🇸 9/11: 25 Years Later — A Night of Remembrance, Service & Unity 🇺🇸

On Friday, September 11, Central Lee invites our entire community to join us for a very special evening as the Central Lee Hawks take on the Fort Madison Bloodhounds in our home football game.

Before kickoff, we will pause to remember those who were lost, honor those who serve, and recognize the courage, compassion, and unity that followed September 11, 2001.

🚒 Local first responders, firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, veterans, active-duty military members, and community servants are especially invited to attend and be recognized.

❤️ Honorees receive FREE admission.
🚨 Emergency response agencies are invited to bring emergency vehicles for a special display of lights.
🇺🇸 Fans are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue or uniforms.
🏈 Those participating in the recognition should arrive by 6:45 p.m.

Twenty-five years later, many of our students know September 11 only through history. This evening is an opportunity to help the next generation understand why we remember while also honoring the people in our own communities who continue to serve others every day.

Throughout the entire month of September, the West Point Farmers Market will be collecting monetary and in-kind donations for our Childhood Cancer Awareness Fundraiser. Look for the donation area at the market each Sunday and help us rally around children and families facing childhood cancer. 💛

Whether you come to fill your market bag, bring the kids for an activity, enjoy an apple, spend the morning with Grandma & Grandpa, or drop off a donation — every reason to gather strengthens our community.

🏈 FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS! 🏈

Tonight, our Varsity Football Team travels to Albia to take on the Blue Demons. The Hawks look to continue to work together as a team to come out victorious in this intense heat! Due to the heat, it is only going to be a Varsity matchup as the JV Football game has been canceled.
