It is with great pleasure that we announce that the Donora Fire Company has been awarded the 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) in the amount of $880,000.00.

This is a significant and long-overdue award for the Donora Fire Company and represents an important investment in our ability to continue protecting and serving the residents of Donora and the surrounding communities.

We formally accepted the grant award through FEMA this afternoon, officially beginning the next steps in the grant process.

This grant funding will be utilized to replace our 1978 Engine that no longer meets NFPA standards for fire apparatus.

We are extremely pleased to have received this substantial federal investment in the Donora Fire Company and look forward to sharing additional details in the near future.

A Special THANK YOU to Josh Wiegand from Wiegand Consulting, LLC for making this possibility become reality.
