Thankful for the artists who have donated their talents to the station. Thank you, Rachel Bouvier, Ashley Tovornik, and Haylie Brito for your art and making the day room a little more homey.

Citizens Fire Academy is in full swing!

Last week was all about Engine Company Ops. Engine crews are all about getting water on the 🔥 as quickly as possible.

Our firefighters gave the class the opportunity to use attack lines, the deck gun as well as learn a little bit about fire behavior with a Palmer's Doll House. This is a small-scale live burn training prop designed to visually demonstrate fire dynamics, smoke behavior, and flow paths in a controlled environment.

This Fire Prevention Week, the Dormont Fire Department is spotlighting a crucial safety message: standing by your pan can prevent kitchen fires. Unattended cooking is the leading cause of home fires, which is why we urge you to stay in the kitchen when frying, grilling, or broiling. A moment of distraction can lead to disaster, but vigilance saves lives. Learn more life-saving tips and how to keep your family safe during Fire Prevention Week and beyond.
