Signature Count for Prop. 55 Extension

Over the past year, we’ve organized to preserve critical funding for our public schools. Our union and partners submitted hundreds of thousands of signatures to ensure our resolution to protect and permanently extend Proposition 55 qualifies for the November ballot. The Secretary of State’s office is still counting signatures, and we will know by the end of June whether the initiative will be on the November ballot. We must anticipate and prepare for an incredibly important campaign this fall to protect over $14 billion in public school funding!-CTA

Fully Fund Part-Time Community College Faculty Office Hours!
Community College Association (CCA) is calling on state lawmakers to include full funding for office hours for part-time community college faculty in the 2026-27 State Budget. Last year, legislators heard our union’s call and included full funding for these crucial student services – this year, we are again calling on the Legislature to fully fund these office hours.

Legislators need to hear from us. Click below to send a letter to the members of the State Budget Committee, and let’s raise our voices together for the funding our colleges need and the services our students deserve.-CTA
