Funeral: Tuesday January 4 at 11a at Nelsen Funeral Home in Ashland.
Graveside: Tuesday January 4 at 12p at Woodland Cemetery in Ashland.

It is with heavy heart that we share the unexpected death of one of our own. Steve Doggett was a dedicated member to our department for his entire life and was also a life member. He spent countless hours serving the citizens of Doswell and Hanover County. Please continue to keep his family in your prayers during this difficult time. More information will be shared when available.

Last Saturday our volunteer and career staff were invited to New Hope Community Church for a first responders cookout. Thanks for a great lunch and fellowship!!

Today the volunteers and career staff from our station were able to go out to a portion of our district, going door to door to make sure they had working smoke detectors. We were able to install smoke detectors for the ones who didn’t have one and replace batteries in many preexisting detectors. PLEASE take the time to check your smoke detectors and make sure they are properly working. This could save you and your family’s lives!! If you need any assistance please reach out to us!
