Happy Trauma Informed Tuesday!!

We never know what someone may be going through behind the scenes. Sometimes a person who seems quiet, distant, or upset may simply be having a difficult day or carrying something they don’t feel ready to share. Taking a moment to offer a smile, a kind word, or a little extra patience can remind someone that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

You never know how much a small act of kindness may mean to someone. Let’s continue to create spaces where people feel safe, supported, and accepted exactly where they are. 💕

Happy National Women’s Equality Day!

Today, we celebrate the progress women have made, honor the women who paved the way before us, and look toward a future where every girl and woman has the opportunity to thrive.

At Girls Inc., we believe girls deserve to grow up knowing their voices matter, their dreams are worth pursuing, and their potential has no limits. ✨

When we empower girls today, we are helping build a future filled with confident women who lead, advocate, support one another, and create change.

Equality starts with believing in girls—and it grows when women lift each other up. 💜

Happy Trauma Informed Tuesday!

Sometimes, creating change does not require a title, a position of power, or permission from someone else. It can begin with one person choosing to show kindness, offer support, listen without judgment, or simply remind someone that they are not alone. 🌷

A trauma-informed approach reminds us that healing and connection often happen person to person. A safe conversation, a moment of understanding, or one consistent and caring relationship can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

You do not have to change the entire world all at once. Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is make a difference in one person’s world. 🩷✨

At Girls Inc., we believe in the power of connection, encouragement, and showing up for one another. Every small act of support has the potential to create a ripple effect. 🎀🦋

You have the power to make a difference, one person at a time.

Introducing Learn to Live!🌷

Girls Inc. is excited to partner with Learn to Live to provide our community with a safe, private space to access meaningful mental health resources and support.✨

Important: Learn to Live is available to individuals ages 13 and older. 🦋

So, what is Learn to Live? It’s a free mental health resource designed to help you navigate life’s ups and downs with tools, information, and support that you can access anytime, anywhere.💌

You can explore resources focused on:

• Building resilience
• Managing stress
• Coping with depression
• Social anxiety
• Getting better sleep
• Understanding substance use
• Managing panic attacks

You can also access virtual coaching support to connect with real people who can offer guidance and encouragement through common challenges.💕

Learn to Live uses tools based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you better understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and build healthy coping strategies.✨

And the best part? It’s completely FREE for Girls Inc. members, staff, and alumni. 🦋

We believe mental health is an important part of helping girls grow into strong, healthy, and confident young women. This partnership gives our Girls Inc. community another resource to turn to when they need a little extra support.💌

Your mental health matters, and you don’t have to navigate everything alone.🌷

“Change your mind. Change your life.”💕

Happy Trauma Informed Tuesday!!

Everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and confident in who they are. Trauma can sometimes make us question our worth or feel like we need to change ourselves to meet the expectations of others. This quote reminds us that our value does not come from someone else’s opinion of us.

At Girls Inc., we strive to create a space where every girl feels accepted, supported, and empowered to be her authentic self. We encourage girls to recognize their strengths, embrace what makes them unique, and know that they do not have to earn their worth through the approval of others. You are enough, just as you are.

Today, we’re celebrating what makes nonprofit work so special: community, connection, and a shared mission to make a difference.

At Girls Inc. of Dothan, we are so grateful to be part of a community that believes in the power and potential of girls. Every day, we have the privilege of creating spaces where girls can learn, grow, lead, and be unapologetically themselves. ✨

Our mission wouldn’t be possible without the support of our incredible community, volunteers, families, partners, and everyone who believes in investing in the next generation of strong, smart, and bold girls.

Thank you for helping us make a difference, one girl at a time. 💗

Here’s to the power of nonprofits and the communities that make their work possible! 🌸

✨ BIG dreams. BIG voices. BIG possibilities. ✨

Today is International Youth Day, and we’re celebrating the young people who inspire us every day!

At Girls Inc. of Dothan, we get to see firsthand just how much girls have to offer. From the questions they ask to the ideas they create, the challenges they overcome, and the confidence they build, our girls remind us that the future is full of possibility. 💗

Youth aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow. They are making an impact today.

Let’s give them a reason to dream big, a safe space to be themselves, and the support they need to believe in what’s possible.

Happy International Youth Day! 💜

Welcome back to Trauma Informed Tuesdays! 💜 Each week, we share an inspirational quote and a thoughtful message to encourage connection, healing, understanding, and support within our community.

At Girls Inc, we believe there is incredible power in women and girls lifting one another up. 💜

When we create spaces where girls feel safe to be themselves, heard, valued, and supported, we help them discover their own strength and recognize the strength that comes from standing together.

Our mission is rooted in helping girls grow into strong, smart, and bold young women who know that they do not have to face challenges alone. There is power in encouragement. There is power in connection. And there is power in women choosing to support, celebrate, and advocate for one another.

Because when women and girls come together, we do not have to compete for space. We can make more space for each other to grow.

Women are powerful on their own.
Women are even more powerful together. 💜
