When our schools, local employers, and communities partner together, great things are bound to happen! Not only are we able to work together to build a stronger local workforce, but students are also able to bridge the skills gap, developing the confidence and work habits necessary to transition from the classroom to meaningful, career-oriented employment.

Through our Co-Op program, currently lead by Mrs. Dana Bell, Houston County Schools students have worked over 126,000 hours and had an economic impact of nearly 15 million dollars this past school year alone. That’s almost an 8,000,000 dollar increase from just last year! We are so proud of our students, Mrs. Bell’s leadership, the awesome opportunities provided through co-op, and all of our amazing local employers who help make all of this possible!

🎉 Help us welcome Mr. Nathan Butler as the new Work-Based Learning Coordinator for Houston County Schools! 🎉
Mr. Butler brings more than 20 years of experience in Houston County Schools and a passion for helping students succeed. In his new role, he will work to connect students with meaningful employment opportunities, valuable workplace experiences, and career pathways that prepare them for success beyond graduation.
We are excited to have his knowledge, leadership, and dedication supporting our students as they explore careers, develop employability skills, and gain real-world experience.

We still have about 20 spots left in the camp before it is full! We are expanding registration which will now also allow incoming 6th graders the opportunity to attend. Summer Camp Registration is off to a great start, and we are so excited to see everyone in July! There are still several open spots, so now is the perfect time to register your child or share with a friend who may be interested!

📢 Exciting News from HCCA! 📢

We are thrilled to announce our 3rd Annual Summer Exploration Camp for incoming 7th and 8th graders (2026-2027 school year) in Houston County Schools! 🎉 This camp is completely FREE—no cost to attend!

🛠️ What to Expect:
✅ Hands-on activities in various career fields
✅ Early career exploration opportunities
✅ A free camp t-shirt for all attendees
✅ Snack provided daily

📅 Camp Dates & Times:
📍 Houston County Career Academy
🕗 July 6th-9th, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

🚗 Transportation:
Students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from camp each day.
