DOUGLAS INCIDENT 8/29/2026 Big thanks to all Fire and Law Enforcement agencies involved CAL-FIRE, TRINITY COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT, DOUGLAS CITY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, WEAVERVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT, with the quick response today the Fire only spread to .7 of an acre.

Douglas City’s type 6 brush engine manned by Captain Yancy Woodard, and Fire fighters James Dunsdon and Dave Johnson are part of a Trinity County Task Force today that is Pre-Positioning for CAL OES for the weather event along with Weaverville Fire, Hayfork Fire, Hyampom Fire, and Kettenpom Fire. This afternoon Weaverville Fire and Douglas City responded to the Barney Incident north of Helena.

8/7/2026 Cal-Fire Incident Flat Fire
Location was in Douglas City off of Blanchard Flat Rd. Fire was mapped out at 6.25 acres thanks to all agencies involved both air and ground
Resources, Cal-Fire, Forest Service, Douglas City Fire, Weaverville Fire, Lewiston Fire and Junction City Fire. Douglas City had one type 3 engine and both our water tenders on the incident.
