The Keep Douglas Beautiful (KDB) team brought sunshine—and a healthy dose of elbow grease—to The Preston at Douglas (formerly The Landings) senior living facility on West Gordon Street on Friday, March 27, 2026. With gloves on and sleeves rolled up, KDB volunteers installed four brand new community garden boxes, each filled with fresh vegetable plants ready to thrive. Areas in the city of Douglas got a little cleaner on Saturday, March 7! Volunteers from Keep Douglas Beautiful joined forces with the awesome team at PCC Airfoils for the annual Clear Your Clutter event. Together, they helped residents haul away those big, hard‑to‑move items and gave our community a fresh start for spring. Keep Douglas Beautiful has received the prestigious 2025 Governor’s Circle Award for Outstanding Community Beautification and Environmental Sustainability Achievements. The Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation (KGBF) presented the award for exemplary performance in litter reduction, waste minimization, and community greening.
