Wills: because wills are frequently lost or surviving family members don't know where a person's last will may be located, my office will accept wills to be kept with the vault records. The following summarizes how they will be handled so that only individuals expressly identified will be able to retrieve the will.
RECORDING OF LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
COVER SHEET
The Converse County Clerk’s Office will file the Last Wills and Testaments for Converse County and other residents of the State of Wyoming if the following criteria are met:
1. Payment of the required fees (currently $12 for the first page and $3 for each additional page).
2. The Last Will and Testament shall be placed in a sealed envelope no smaller than 9x12 and no larger than 10x15. The Converse County Clerk’s Office can provide envelopes for a $1.00 fee.
3. A signature line is provided below for the signature of the testator, testatrix, or personal representative.
I UNDERSTAND THAT ONCE GIVEN TO THE CONVERSE COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE FOR FILING, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT WILL ONLY BE RETURNED TO:
1. The Testator, Testatrix, or Personal Representative whose name is stated on this cover sheet, or
2. A person designated in a court order to retrieve the Will or who is appointed by the court as the Personal Representative of the decedent’s estate, or
3. The following named person is the secondary Personal Representative:

Voters: the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov 5th. If you would like to register or vote absentee, please stop by the Clerk's Office in the Courthouse. If you are a registered voter and want an absentee ballot, you can call the office 358-2244. You can also register at the polls on Election Day.

Voters (with the exception of 13-13 Dry Creek precinct) will vote at the same locations as they have in the past. 13-13 Dry Creek will be voting at the EWC Douglas Branch Campus for this election only!

Cemeteries: There are always times during the year where we can take some time to devote to fun projects where an interest has been shown via inquiries.

One of those projects was to help genealogists (or anyone with an interest) find death records. The mission was then to get as much information as we could on any burial site in Converse County. As you can see by the labels, there are several cemeteries that people may not know that they exist. Another task was to have people help with individuals that may be buried on private property.

The Secretary of State's Office has encouraged all Wyoming County Clerks to set up a FB page, so I thought I would try it as we move towards an election in November. Please feel free to ask questions on anything my office handles and I or my staff will be more than happy to help out!
