Governor Kemp has lifted the burn ban but you MUST have a burn permit if you are burning in the city limits of Douglas (excludes self contained burning such as grilling, fire pit, etc) . Please burn responsibly and keep an eye on any outdoor fires. Call DFD at 912-384-4815 for the process to receive a burn permit.

📣Residents of Coffee County! Please follow the burn ban which includes burning in barrels. Citations are being issued multiple times a day. One spark is all it takes! 🔥

NO BURNING, MEANS NO BURNING! We are observing a significant number of burn barrels in recent calls. Citations are being issued for any unauthorized burning. And yes, that includes burn barrels. Let’s maintain safety and continue to pray for rain.
