School is back tomorrow! 🎒🚌

Mamas... tomorrow is the day you've been looking forward to. 😄

The house gets quiet again, the grocery bill might finally go down, and the kids are headed back to school!

But while we're all excited, let's remember that tomorrow morning will also be one of the busiest traffic days of the year.

🚸 Slow down in school zones. 🛑 Stop for school buses when the law requires.
📵 Put the phone down.
👀 Watch for children crossing the road. Some are excited, some are distracted, and many are riding the bus to school for the first time.

Our deputies will be out to help keep everyone safe, but we need your help too.

A few extra minutes of patience could save a child's life.

Let's make sure every student, teacher, bus driver, and parent gets to school—and back home—safely.

⚠️ SCAM ALERT ⚠️
This is a reminder to be extra careful when buying or selling on Facebook Marketplace.

A local citizen recently shared these screenshots with us after trying to purchase what appeared to be a 2007 Toyota Camry listed for only $800.

At first, everything seemed legitimate. The seller answered questions, provided an address in Douglas, and arranged a meeting. Then the excuses started...

• "I'll be home at 3:00."
• Requests to deliver the vehicle.
• Delays and changing plans.
• Suddenly the listing disappeared.
• The seller left the conversation and could no longer be contacted.

Fortunately, no money was exchanged, but this is a common tactic used by scammers to gain your trust before asking for a deposit or payment.

Protect yourself:
✅ Never send money before seeing the vehicle in person.
✅ Meet in a safe, public location whenever possible.
✅ Be cautious of prices that seem too good to be true.
✅ Verify the VIN, title, and the seller's identification before completing the purchase.
✅ Trust your instincts—if something doesn't feel right, walk away.

Scammers are becoming more convincing every day. A few extra minutes of caution can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

If you believe you've been the victim of an online marketplace scam, report it to your local law enforcement agency and to
Facebook.

🚗📦 Thought you could make a delivery in Coffee County?

Unfortunately for Kendall, the only thing getting delivered was... himself. Straight to the Coffee County Jail. 🚔

Our Agents intercepted the shipment before it reached its destination, and the "cookie" never made it to the table. 🍪❌

Chief Pruette and Sheriff Cole have made it clear: If you're trafficking drugs into Coffee County, your GPS is about to reroute to the Coffee County Jail.

🚫 No Safe Haven for Criminals.

✅ LOCATED SAFE

The Coffee County Sheriff's Office is pleased to report that Timothy Chandler and Heather Chandler have been located safely.

Thanks to the outstanding teamwork and rapid response of the Jeff Davis County Sheriff's Office and the Appling County Sheriff's Office, Timothy and Heather were located quickly and are being reunited with their family unharmed.

We sincerely appreciate our law enforcement partners and everyone who shared our original post, remained vigilant, and helped spread the word. Your support played an important role in bringing this situation to a safe conclusion.

Thank you all for your assistance.

MISSING PERSON ALERT

The Coffee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's immediate assistance in locating Timothy Dewayne Chandler and Heather Chandler, who have been reported missing.

Both were last seen in the First Avenue South area. Their current whereabouts are unknown, and investigators are actively working to locate them.

If you have seen them, know where they may be, or have any information that could assist investigators, please contact the Coffee County Sheriff's Office immediately at 📞 912-384-4227.

🚨 Sometimes what seems suspicious… well just might be exactly that🚨
Coffee County, GA: 60-year-old Lisa driving suspiciously saw a deputy, pulled over, jump out, and pop her trunk like something was concerning. 🚗💨

Naturally, deputies pulled up to conduct a welfare check…
The result? A glass pipe and methamphetamine found in the console, oh and also a free ride to the county jail.

If you're trying to play it cool... popping your trunk at Sheriff Deputies ain't it. 🏆
