We want to thank everyone who has been on the front lines of this RECALL effort, and as we move forward, we would like to share with everyone some of our recent significant “wins.”
- We successfully pushed the DCBOC to drop the proposed millage rate from 33% to 27% in a very short period of time.
- We brought forward a petition to stop the tax increase signed by over 8,000 citizens.
- We ran the interference that garnered 2,000 signatures on a petition to stop the rezoning of Exodus Ranch.
- Due to our activism, the media has started to take notice of the tax and furlough issues in DC, doing multiple stories on the local news outlets.
- We have stopped the annexation of land on Riverside Pkwy for yet another warehouse, dead in its tracks.
- We have held two successful rallies fighting the DCBOC on increasing our taxes.
- We have Henry Mitchell agreeing that DC should have a Citizens Review Board.
- We have almost 400 citizens who have signed up on the dccitizensunited.com website, and if everyone keeps sharing with your friends and family, we can achieve a successful
