June is Men’s Mental Health Month. 💙
Too many men suffer in silence because they’ve been taught that asking for help is a sign of weakness. The truth is that strength isn’t pretending everything is okay—it’s having the courage to speak up when it isn’t.
As the late Robin Williams said:
“People don’t fake depression. They fake being okay.”
Many well-known men, including athletes, actors, musicians, and community leaders, have publicly shared their struggles with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Their stories remind us that mental health affects people from every walk of life and that no one should have to face those challenges alone.
If you’re struggling, please know this: You are not weak. You are not broken. You are not alone.
This month, let’s check in on the men in our lives. Reach out to a friend, a father, a brother, a son, a coworker, or a neighbor. A simple conversation can make a difference.
If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline 24/7.
Together, we can break the stigma, encourage healing, and remind every man that his life matters.
