Friendly reminder!

Advance voting for the Georgia General/Special Election will run through October 30, 2026.

Douglas County voters will cast ballots for the following:

• U.S. Senate
• Governor
• Lieutenant Governor
• Secretary of State
• Attorney General
• Commissioner of Agriculture
• Commissioner of Insurance
• State School Superintendent
• Commissioner of Labor
• Public Service Commissioner District 3
• Public Service Commissioner District 5
• U.S. House of Representatives-District 3
• U.S. House of Representatives-District 6
• State Senate District 28
• State Senate-District 30
• State House of Representatives-District 40
• State House of Representatives-District 64
• State House of Representatives-District 66
• Solicitor General
• County Commissioner District 1
• County Commissioner District 3
• County Commissioner District 4
• County Board of Education District 2
• County Board of Education District 3
• County Board of Education District 4.
• Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) Referendum


Advance voting locations will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday voting will be available October 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Voting locations are as follows:

• Douglas County Courthouse (*Saturday voting and absentee ballot drop-off)
• Deer Lick Park (*Saturday voting available)
• Dog River Library (*Saturday voting available)
• Woodie Fite Senior Center (*Saturday voting available)
• The Old Courthouse
• Lithia Springs Senior Center
• Boundary Waters Activity Center

Today, Commissioner Kenner Jones joined a riveting panel at the SMDO26 Fall Conference, serving on the “State of Data Centers: Policy and Governance.” The conference hosted a variety of discussions on community benefits agreements, local policy, public engagement, and strategies to ensure data center investments serve the long-term interests of our communities.

Courthouse Trick-or-Treating 🎃

Join us on Friday, October 30, from 2p-5p for our annual Halloween festivities! Kids of all ages are invited to trick-or-treat at the Courthouse and see the elaborately decorated departments.

We are proud to be part of the Teal Pumpkin Project, ensuring that those with food allergies can still participate in the fun.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Last week, we celebrated Employee Appreciation Day by recognizing the outstanding contributions of our 1,200+ Douglas County employees! The day was filled with fun activities, camaraderie, and heartfelt expressions of gratitude from County leadership for the team’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to delivering exceptional public service.

A special thank you to our Human Resources Department for organizing such a fantastic event. We are truly grateful for our incredible employees and the work they do every day to keep our community thriving.
