Update...8/1/26, 10:50pm: Law enforcement has investigated the bomb threat and confirmed that everything is safe. Arbor Place Mall and the movie theatre will remain closed for the night. 8/1/26, 6pm. Arbor Place Mall has been evacuated due to a bomb threat. More information will be released when available.

⚽️ What an incredible finish to the Watch the Cup celebration. 🏆

For the second time, and the final game, Douglas County E-911 and Fulton County Department of Emergency Services once again operated under a Joint Command response model, ensuring that no matter what happened, our communities were prepared.

Our team worked from two locations, with personnel coordinating operations from the Emergency Communications Center while others were embedded inside Fulton County Police Department’s Mobile Command Vehicle. That real-time collaboration allowed us to share information, coordinate resources across jurisdictional lines, and maintain a common operating picture throughout the event.

The best public safety stories are often the ones that never make the headlines because preparation, partnership, and communication prevented problems before they began.

Thank you to our partners at Fulton County Department of Emergency Services and Fulton County Police for another successful operation. We are proud to stand alongside agencies that understand public safety has no boundaries when it comes to protecting our communities.

And congratulations to 🇪🇸 Spain on an outstanding championship victory!

Together, we demonstrated what regional collaboration looks like when it matters most.

This is what keeping people safe looked like.

Yesterday, during the Watch the Cup event, Fulton County Department of Emergency Services and Douglas County E-911 operated under a Joint Command response model due to the event’s close proximity to the Fulton County line.

By working together, both agencies coordinated resources, shared real-time information, and stood ready to respond if needed. This level of collaboration is what strengthens public safety and helps ensure large community events remain safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Thank you to our partners at Fulton County Emergency Services for their collaboration and commitment to protecting our communities.

A special thank you to Fulton County Police for providing their Mobile Command Vehicle, which served as a central hub for coordination and communication throughout the event.

📞 Public Safety Week is here!

The Douglas County Chamber has partnered with our public safety agencies to host a series of Pop-Up Appreciation Days, and Douglas County E-911 will be featured on Tuesday, June 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our community partners, elected officials, and residents to stop by, meet the professionals behind the headset, and learn more about the vital role 9-1-1 plays in keeping our community safe.

Every call matters. Every second counts. Every day, our team is here serving Douglas County 24/7/365.

We look forward to seeing you on June 16 as we celebrate the dedicated men and women of Douglas County E-911 during Public Safety Week.
