Nichols Center: Families of Recovery

Nichols Center: Families of Recovery Helping families heal through recovery and wellness in Douglas County and greater West Georgia areas.

Our non-profit community based organization helps families affected by substance abuse and addiction. Recovery can be a long and difficult path, but it is one that you do not have to walk alone. We are families helping families, by reaching out to our community to educate, support, and empower the families of Douglas County; the Nichols Center will provide guided treatment planning, community link

age, and family support promoting "clean" healthy choices. Through providing substance abuse prevention education, parenting education, and weekly support meetings we can impact drug and relapse rates creating a safer home environment for our families.

Nichols Center extends our heartfelt thanks to Cobb County and the Powder Springs Police Department Community Collaborative for Crisis Response for making this important training possible. We are especially grateful to our guest speaker, Hannah Palmquist of the Georgia Prosecutors for Human Trafficking Office, for sharing such powerful insight and education with our community.
Hannah did an incredible job helping us understand the urgent connection between human trafficking and the broader mental health crisis in Georgia, including su***de, substance use, and opioid overdose. Conversations like this remind us that prevention, awareness, and collaboration are essential to building safer, healthier communities.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in this important work. Together, we are strengthening hope, healing, and response across our community.
