If you notice an influx of police, fire and EMS units in the area, we will be conducting a Critical incident training at FA.

On April 21st, the Piscataquis County Emergency Management Agency is hosting a “Critical Incident” training exercise at Foxcroft Academy. This exercise will give police, fire and emergency medical services (EMS) the opportunity to practice techniques and test procedures in preparation for potential mass events in the area.

As a result, law enforcement agencies, fire departments and EMS personnel from across the region will be present at Foxcroft Academy during this exercise. Please note, the Foxcroft Academy campus, including the Jim Robinson Field House, will be closed to the public until 3:00pm on April 21st.

If you have any questions, please contact Debra Hamlin, Director of the Piscataquis County Emergency Management Agency at [email protected].

Here the winners of both the fish prizes and the raffle prizes. We at the DFFD truly appreciate the support of our sponsors, participants, and everyone that came out to the lake to visit, we cannot thank you all enough. Without all of you this would not be possible. We are excited to see you all again next year for the 16th annual Dover-Foxcroft firefighters association Sebec lake fishing derby.

Hope everyone had a great two days on the ice, definitely good weather for fishing. Now that things are all wrapped up, we ask that you have patience as we are contacting the winners of both fish and shore prizes. As soon as I get the official results from the derby director I will post them. Thank you for your patience and a great weekend!

Brian has been a member of several fire departments, including the DFFD, and a paramedic for Mayo Ambulance for many years. If you or family member needed emergency services there is a pretty good chance he was involved. Brian spent many years serving the communities of Piscataquis and Penobscot counties. Now we have the chance to help him out in a time of need, come on out on Feb. 21st in Sangerville and March 28th in Corinna. See the attached fliers for further information. Let’s show support for him like he has for all of us over the years.
