Real coalitions aren’t formed because everyone agrees.

They’re formed when people commit to a common purpose and prove that commitment through action.

At the Community First Party, we believe solidarity is built in our communities, not just our conversations.

Conflict is inevitable. Rupture is not.

Research shows that disagreement isn’t what breaks coalitions.

The real challenge comes when people stop trusting each other enough to work through it.

Strong movements aren’t built on unanimity. They’re built on relationships, fair processes, and a shared commitment to something bigger than ourselves.

At the Community First Party, we believe disagreement is not a sign that a coalition is failing.

It’s an opportunity to listen, learn, and keep building together. Community isn’t about always agreeing. It’s about refusing to give up on each other when we don’t.

Disagreement doesn’t break coalitions.

How we handle disagreement does.

Research shows that conflict is a natural part of any movement made up of different people with different experiences and perspectives.

The goal isn’t to eliminate conflict. The goal is to build enough trust to work through it.

Strong coalitions create fair processes, listen to one another, and stay committed to shared goals even when disagreements arise.

At the Community First Party, we believe unity isn’t about thinking the same. It’s about caring enough about our communities to keep working together when we don’t.
