Level 2 Significant Drought Declared💧

The Town of Dover is currently experiencing a Level 2 Significant Drought. For residents and businesses in Dover, this limits nonessential outdoor water use.

The Dover Board of Selectmen declared a Level 2 Significant Drought on June 8, 2026, and voted to limit nonessential outdoor water use to hand-held hoses or watering cans only, specifically after 5:00 PM and before 9:00 AM.

Dover’s Water Restriction Bylaw, adopted in 2022, applies to all water sources, including Aquarion, municipal water, and private wells. Learn more in Ch. 182 Water Use Restrictions in Dover’s local bylaws.

The Town of Dover's Department of Public Works has been awarded a pair of grants, totaling $521,245, under the Massachusetts Department of Transportation's (MassDOT) Community Culvert Grant Program! These funds will be used to replace the Wilsondale Street culvert, as well as the Old Farm Road culvert.

After years of planning and multiple grant submissions, this funding allows the DPW to modernize aging infrastructure, improve stormwater management, and reduce flooding risks without impacting local property taxes!

Thank you to the Katelyn Tosi Foundation for their generous donation to the Dover Fire Department! This contribution will enhance fire and medical services in Dover while honoring Katelyn Tosi's legacy.

The Dover Fire Department is honored and deeply grateful to receive the first annual $40,000 donation from the Katelyn Tosi Foundation in memory of Katelyn Tosi.

This generous gift will support the Department's ongoing mission of providing exceptional fire and emergency medical services to Dover residents while honoring Katelyn's legacy and the values of service, compassion, and community that she embodied.

The Tosi family's connection to the Dover Fire Department spans generations. Katelyn's mother, Renee Foster, dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Department, retiring as a Lieutenant and EMS Coordinator. Today, her father, Captain Bobby Tosi, along with her brothers, Lieutenant Kevin Tosi and Lieutenant Brian Tosi, continue that tradition of service as members of the Dover Fire Department.

The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Katelyn Tosi Foundation and the entire Tosi family for their extraordinary generosity and continued commitment to the Dover community. Katelyn's memory will continue to make a lasting impact through this annual donation and the positive difference it will make for years to come.

Thank you for helping us honor Katelyn's legacy of caring, service, and dedication to others.
