The City of Dover extends its sincere appreciation to the employees of our Electric Field and General Services Departments, who worked diligently last night to restore power following the wind storm in our area.
Damage from a large fallen tree left many residents without electricity yesterday evening. In response, crews worked through the night and into the early morning hours to restore power and clear debris from the roads. We are grateful for their coordinated efforts and prompt response during this unexpected emergency.
We are also grateful to the many residents who reached out to thank those departments for their hard work and tireless efforts. We appreciate your kind comments.
Additionally, we extend our thanks to Domino's Pizza in Dover for providing meals to our employees during their late-night shift.
