This one hits home for me.. Proud of my people for their efforts. Rest In Peace Captain.
Last week our staffing members were alerted at our bay doors by close by Township residents. Their young golden retriever had been playing in the yard and suddenly collapsed. Initial CPR was started by family, and then “Captain” was brought to the firehouse for additional assistance. Members attempted life saving measures but unfortunately were unsuccessful.
Last evening the family stopped by to drop off a picture framed photo of Captain, a beautiful snack basket, and a generous donation to show their appreciation. We thank you.
The 9 House has been, and always will be an all hazard, all emergencies, big or small, human or animal response station. While we are saddened Captain is no longer with us, his picture will be proudly displayed in our lounge to remember!
