Today at Lincoln Speedway two drivers Cody Fletcher & Ashley Cappetta are honoring Kevin Brehm, FF/EMT, LODD 4/9/26 and NYCRPD Officer Cody Becker. RIP! What a great way to pay tribute to them. Have a great race everyone! Thank you to Chris Brehm for the pictures.

Dover officials attended a Ribbon cutting ceremony at Ketterman Park in Dover Borough yesterday at noon for the new AED that was installed in the pavilion. This is an amazing way to provide life saving AED/CPR to a citizen in cardiac arrest. What a great addition to our community!

Happy Emergency Medical Services Week to all our wonderful employees!

Happy EMS Week to the ones who give and give and give.

The ones who show up for everyone else’s worst day, then go home carrying pieces of it nobody else will ever see.

The ones who miss birthdays.
Holidays.
Ball games.
Church mornings.
Dinner at the table.
Bedtime routines.
Moments they’ll never get back.

The ones who answer the call anyway.

Even when there’s death in their own family.
Even when their marriage is falling apart.
Even when they’re sick.
Exhausted.
Anxious.
Depressed.
Running on fumes.

They still clock in.
They still suit up.
They still kneel beside strangers.
They still fight for lives that are not their own.

EMS is more than lights, sirens, and uniforms.

It is sacrifice.
It is missed moments.
It is quiet trauma.
It is loving people enough to show up when most of the world is asleep.

So this week, we honor the ones who don’t always get thanked.

The ones who carry the weight.
The ones who keep going.
The ones who serve with tired hands and heavy hearts.

🚑 Emergency Medical Services Week 2026 🚑

Governor Josh Shapiro has officially proclaimed May 17–23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services Week in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, recognizing the vital role EMS professionals play in protecting the health and safety of our communities.

EMS providers, career and volunteer, are ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deliver lifesaving, out-of-hospital care. Their expertise, dedication, and commitment to ongoing education and service dramatically improve survival and recovery for patients experiencing sudden illness or injury.
Throughout this week, we encourage Pennsylvanians to join us in honoring the hard work and accomplishments of EMS professionals and to participate in activities that recognize this essential public service.
