Please share! We are receiving a huge influx of calls again! Please share to your social media accounts and with family and friends!
The Sheriff's Office of Kent County would like to bring attention to another scam targeting residents. The caller, posing as a Kent County Sheriff's officer, will advise them that they missed a court date and are demanding that they pay preemptive bail or be imprisoned immediately. Sometimes the call is received from a random cell phone number as well as spoofing our office number. In some cases, the caller will try to use an official rank/title and can become very verbally abusive. If you receive one of these calls or voicemails, please hang up and do not attempt to call them back.
We would like you to know, the Sheriff's Office would never solicit payment for fines/bond/bail over the phone. If you receive one of these phone calls, please hang up immediately. You may call our office at 302-736-2161 to report the incident.

Kent County Sheriff Norman R. Barlow joined community leaders today to celebrate the opening of a new Emergency Medical Services station near Frederica. Located at 137 Milford Neck Road, the facility provides direct access to Delaware Route 1, improving emergency response times in the area.

The station, a partnership between Kent County Levy Court and the Department of Public Safety, replaces the EMS unit previously housed at the Frederica firehouse and offers a dedicated, modern space tailored to EMS operations. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office congratulates all agencies involved in strengthening public safety for our community.
