New Hope for Children New Hope for Children, a registered DBA of New Hope Christian Services, Inc., is a COA Hague-accredit How Do We Measure Success?

New Hope for Children, a registered DBA of New Hope Christian Services, Inc., is a COA Hague-accredited, licensed non-profit adoption agency existing to provide HOPE to children by finding their forever families with the highest of ethical standards. We are committed to building the strongest of families by providing emotional support and guidance through the entire adoption process, including pos

t-adoption. New Hope has been facilitating adoptions since 1993, and is a full-service adoption provider that offers a Domestic Adoptions Program. Also, we are the only NH-based Hague adoption agency that is Hague accredited for international adoption, which means that we can offer families that live in New Hampshire our full services such as writing your Homestudy and post-placement reports for any country program, for a placement agency in all 50 states. We have facilitated 1000+ adoptions, and no matter how many adoptions we facilitate each year, our courteous and caring staff will never treat you like a number. This difference really has set New Hope apart in our industry and earned us the solid reputation we are proud of -- We are an agency that provides specialized and personalized attention! Our staff of adoption professionals is made up of adoptive parents. Two members of our team are not only bilingual (English and Russian), but also “bicultural” (American and Russian). They not only speak both languages at the level of a native speaker and have extensive experience living and working in both countries, but understand both systems and both cultures intuitively. We truly bridge the cultural divide on your behalf to assist with birth parent searches in Russia. New Hope for Children accepts donations to facilitate adoptions and benefit the children and orphanages we worked with in and around St. Petersburg for many years prior to the recent Russian adoption ban. Good Ethics - Good Reputation- Dependable Staff - Happy Families and Children

Our team is here for you through each phase of the adoption process. Families who have gone through our program will gladly encourage you along the way. Call our office for adoptive families nearest to you. History of Our Agency

New Hope Christian Services was founded by Dr. David Mexcur and his late wife Mary Mexcur in 1993. They raised six adopted children and began facilitating adoptions for families in 1991, eventually founding a licensed agency. Hundreds of children from Central Europe (formerly known as Eastern Europe) and Russia have found forever families through New Hope. In June 2011, Dr. Mexcur retired and Dr. Aleksandra Fleszar, then the Russian Programs Director, was appointed as the Executive Director of New Hope and Dr. Arna Bronstein as Russian Programs Director. Following her career retirement in 2013, Dr. Fleszar continues to serve the agency and Board of Directors, and Board member Alisa Karwowski was appointed as the new Executive Director. Currently, the agency has a full staff in the U.S.; a Parent Outreach Network; and an active and devoted Board of Directors. We also have continued our close ties to colleagues in Russia to assist with birth parent searches in Russia. The agency has moved from northern New Hampshire to the seacoast and has returned to its other legal name, New Hope for Children. The agency retains liaisons with the Christian community but is a secular agency, accepting applications from all qualified applicants. In spring 2011, New Hope was awarded Hague accreditation and is now one of only 38 agencies in the U.S. that have COA/Hague Accreditation.

New Hope for Children is pleased to share the agency has been awarded renewal of accreditation. This extensive process began last May and has closed with an approval this afternoon. We appreciate the high expectations of the Center for Excellence in Adoption Services and the US State Department as that allows for best practices in all adoption-related services. New Hope for Children remains the only Hague accredited agency in all of New Hampshire.
Just this month, we have petitioned the court and received the interlocutory agreement for one domestic adoption and are now preparing to bring home a little guy from Quebec. The Canadian authorities have informed me this is their first inter-country adoption with the US!

Another family is complete through domestic adoption. A powerful week filled with so many emotions from all. One highlight, of many, as I was driving his birth mother home after discharge, “I’m so happy for me and him he’s going to have an awesome life, right?” I said, “absolutely, he will and you’re rockin’ phase 2 of your life and I’ll (New Hope for New Hope for Children) always be here for you. You are among the strongest people who walk this earth.”

Dear Friends of New Hope for Children:

When any one of us intentionally reflect on the reality that there are thousands of children living directly amidst the opioid crisis in our home state or that there are millions of underprivileged children living in orphanages around the world, we understandably become overwhelmed. We begin to think that there is nothing a single person can do that will make any sort of positive impact as that seems to be an insurmountable feat.
Trust us when we tell you that our time spent in Russian, Ghanaian and Ugandan orphanages has left burdensome memories with little hope until we came to the realization that it is not about saving every child rather it is about being a small part of someone’s story. That someone will be a child you will likely never meet, but it is a vulnerable person who needs you, and all of us, perhaps more than any other.
This annual appeal comes at a very special time for New Hope for Children. The agency is celebrating its 30-year anniversary! This year, we have opened a program in Canada and have been approved to work in Hong Kong as well. The agency is currently focusing on the approval process for installing a Safe Haven box for babies in need. This is a very exciting time, and your generous donation is so appreciated as it helps us to continue to make a positive difference in the lives of deserving children and their caretakers both here in New Hampshire as well as throughout the world. After all, we realize and begin to understand that HOPE changes everything.
For your tax purposes, we are an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; EIN 02-0491267.

Hope Changes Everything… Along with a lot of strength, perseverance, blind-faith, commitment and trust- all things we celebrate about Lindsay and John as they completed the last leg of a VERY long journey to complete their family. Big brother, Sam, is a true hero in every sense as he endured his parents living in different countries while they completed their intercountry adoption in Ghana. Yesterday, through their kindness, we were a part of this special day with the highlights being Sam expressing how happy he is to have his little brother finally home and Adepa banging the gavel explaining, “it’s official!”
Congratulations, John, Lindsay, Sam and Adepa! Thank you for choosing New Hope for Children to be a small part of your family’s story!

Meet Jenny and Josh who are hoping to create their family through adoption. Take moment to learn a bit about this fun-loving couple.
Please contact Alisa at 603-842-4794 or [email protected] if you or someone you know would like to learn more about creating a potential adoption plan.

Josh & I have been together for 19 years and been married for 10.
Josh grew up in New Hampshire, and I grew up all the way across the country, in California. When we
each decided to move to Florida at the end of the year 2000, we met shortly thereafter, in January 2001.
We both had great upbringings, growing up in loving families with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and
extended family. Some of Josh's favorite memories are family gatherings, sledding parties, cook outs,
and holiday get-togethers. Some of my favorite memories are root beer float dates with my dad, driving
to see snow the day after Christmas with my parents and brother, and holidays and celebrations with
my family.
Individually, we each have our quirks and our own ways of thinking. But together, we are unstoppable.
We listen to each other, we troubleshoot together, we respect each other, and most of all, we love each
other. We've suffered terrible losses, losing pregnancies and loved ones, but it has only made us
stronger and brought us and our family closer. We enjoy hiking, camping, fishing (well Josh does!), and
family gatherings. It's normal for us to have 20-30 people at a family get-together. We've hosted
Thanksgiving for the last 12 years. Every year we cut down our Christmas tree at Josh's parents who live
on a Christmas tree farm!
Although we have a great life, we feel that we have so much more love to give. We've chosen adoption
because we haven't been able to have a child on our own and, let's face it, we're not getting any
younger!
We live on three acres in a small town in NH and have two adorable dogs. We've hosted fourth of July
parties for the last several years and our house is always open to family and friends. It's a common
occurrence to come home in the summer months to see someone swimming in our pool! And, my
parents live right next door so we have around the clock daycare and babysitters!
Our child would grow up in a loving environment surrounded by loved ones, family, and friends. We will
raise them to be good people, to think for themselves, be good to others, and have a strong moral
compass. We feel like the world needs more love and good people in it and we would do our best to
give a child an amazing life.

Two and a half years ago our world changed forever when, against all odds, our son was born. He has captivated and enchanted us so much that we can’t imagine not having another child to share our lives with. Ryan and I met and fell in love in New England twelve years ago and we have shared one adventure to the next ever since. Whether we are hiking the moss-covered trails leading up to the granite summits of our favorite mountains in Acadia National Park – where our son just climbed his first mountain all by himself(!) – or searching for pockets of deep powder as we ski through the trees (we can’t wait to teach our children to ski!), we are happiest when we are active and exploring together as a family. At home you’ll find us all in the woods, loading freshly split birch trees into the wheelbarrow – our son is very helpful, loading firewood into the wheelbarrow one way and hitching a ride inside it on the way back – or sharing a quiet evening together in our living room next to our wood burning stove, huddled over a huge stack of building blocks and listening to Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley or story time with Buster the Bus. 😊 We hope you are interested in learning more about us and we look forward to the chance of adopting a new baby to make our son a proud big brother.

Patrice and Jason are looking forward to becoming first-time parents through adoption!

We’re Patrice and Jason and we wanted to thank you for taking time to get to know us a little! Jason and I have been together for over 6 years, married for 4, and are looking forward to all the years to come together! We have shared our lives together and continue to grow closer and closer every day.
Jason and I enjoy spending quality time with our family and friends, hosting parties and holidays where we can be together with those we’re closest to; something we look forward to doing more of in 2021!
Over the years we have started many of our own traditions and milestones we look forward to, especially during the Fall and Holiday seasons. Some of our most treasured moments and memories are those we spend together enjoying Halloween and Christmas, two of our favorite times of the year. These are the things we look forward to sharing with our family as we continue to grow together.
We know there are many decisions ahead of you and we wish you love and support while you are guided down this path. We hope to get to know you more should you choose an adoption plan for you and your child.

Happy Family Friday! Meet Kori and read a bit about her as she makes plan to adopt!

As I write this letter to express my gratitude I know that I will never be able to truly convey to you what your decision means to me. This will fill my empty heart and change my entire life and I will be forever grateful to you. You have a difficult choice and it takes such courage and kindness to come to your decision. As a child I dreamed only of being a good mother and having a big family. From a young age my mother and I would talk about and plan the fun things we could all do together when I had children of my own. So many crafts and projects and traditions I could pass on to another generation. It didn't enter into my mind that my body would not be so kind to me and not allow me to have my own children.
I can't even imagine the challenge it must be for you to choose someone to adopt your child, someone who will be the perfect fit and love this child forever. A short letter cannot possibly explain to you how much I want a child, who I am, what my future plans are...but I want you to know for sure that I am a good solid, moral person and I will do my very best every day to raise this child in a happy home. Quality time with a child is most important to me and I believe a child needs to feel loved and cherished and know they are the most treasured person in my life.

Happy Family Friday! Meet Chris and Megan, home study approved and ready to create their family through adoption.

Here is a snippet from their letter to an expectant mom/birth mother:

We are incredibly excited to become parents and have so much love to give. We have
been married over four years and have a strong, honest and caring relationship. We live
in a quiet, small town in New Hampshire just a short distance from lakes, mountains and
beaches, the best of all worlds. We enjoy the outdoors, adventuring to new places and
taking walks with our dog, Shyloh, as well as sitting out on our screen porch that we
refer to as our “treehouse.” Our treehouse is a screened in deck that sits up surrounded
by trees from our yard where we like to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature while
watching the deer and hummingbirds as we relax fireside with friends or family. We
have a large extended family on both sides that live nearby and we are all very close
knit. We value our time with family and friends and this is a top priority of ours and we
plan to share our love of the outdoors, family, and togetherness with our child.

It is obvious the plan you are making is being made out of love, courage and
selflessness and that you are trying to make the best decision for this child. We hope by
looking at our photos and reading little snippets about our lives, you will find comfort in
knowing how much we want to share our lives with a child. We want to assure you that
we promise to respect you and make sure your child knows their birth story and birth
family. We promise to cherish and love your child with our hearts and souls and to
provide a safe, happy home and a life with every opportunity possible.
