The deadline for new clients to apply for the Christmas/holiday program is September 30.

Reminder to Family and Friends of Caring Hearts Helping Hands. We are open and accepting new applications to become a client family of Caring Hearts Helping Hands and participate in our Christmas/holiday program. The deadline for our Heart and Sole (Back-to-School) program has already passed for 2026.

To qualify for our programs, you must live in Kent County, your family must have at least one parent working, and you must have at least one dependent child.

Applicants can receive SNAP, Medicaid, and SSI for their children, but cannot be receiving any other type of government assistance.

If you know a family that may qualify for our programs, the application must be submitted and approved by September 30, 2026. The application process closes on September 30th and will not reopen again until January 2027.

The funds raised through our bake sales help support our many programs and initiatives, including helping us purchase dresses and formalwear for our Unshopping Events, so that young people can experience those special moments with confidence without adding a financial burden to their families. 👗✨
