On April 26, we will present the documentary film titled, First People, First State; Cheswold's American Indian Community, at the Cheswold Fire Hall. Through funding and support from Delaware 250 , Delaware Heritage Commission, Delaware Public Archives and 302 Stories, Inc. the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware began a project last year, interviewing Cheswold Community Elders in an effort to tell our our own story, in celebration of 250 years of independence. This film honors and celebrates the voices, lived experiences, profound resilience and stories from Cheswold Community Elders. Please visit our event page for details, and choose 'Going', to RSVP.

The 2025 Wreaths Across America truck journey involves dozens of tractor-trailers picking up wreaths in Maine and delivering them nationwide to over 5,000 locations. We honor every moment and thank everyone on this journey.

Wreaths Across America this Saturday! This will be our 3rd year participating in this event, held across the nation to remember the fallen. Thank you to all who continue to support and volunteer, honoring and remembering our Veterans in the Cheswold community at three of our Historical Cemeteries.

We recently connected, celebrated, danced with and shared our histories and culture at Spotlight Delaware's very first 'Our Delaware Cultural Festival 2025'. More than the exquisite entertainment, we took the time to celebrate each other one on one, and learn more about the richness and contributions of each of our communities in Delaware. It was magical.

Today, the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware along with Tribal Citizens and volunteers participated in Wreaths Across America, a national day of remembrance in honor of veterans, held annually, with a focus on wreath placement, education, and volunteer engagement fostering a sense of community and respect.
