The Downers Grove Public Library is honored to have been chosen as one of 38 public libraries to participate in the 2026 Public Libraries Program: Between Two Worlds: Exploring Jewish Culture and Religion through Yiddish Literature. Community members are invited to learn about their neighbors and understand the diversity in their religions, cultures, and identities as they participate in book discussions, attend programs, and pick up resource kits. The program is in partnership with the Yiddish Book Center and the American Library Association and is made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.
