Remnants from Derecho... Unfortunately the storm took down one of the 100+ year old, big pines in front of the school. It also swung open the new garage doors and broke some glass, but boy were we lucky and the old school weathered the storm. Thanks goodness the cupola wasn't on yet.

So things just seem to be at a standstill at the school with all this COVID business. We are still waiting for the cupola to be delivered and placed back up on top. We have received $7,000 in donations so far, which are greatly appreciated and will help cover those costs. Keep watching.... we'll try to give you all a heads up when it happens. If you know any one interested in historical buildings and helping to get them restored I hope you will share this page and our GO FUND ME.

Some people have sent us checks personally instead of using the Go Fund Me sight, which is wonderful.THANK YOU SO MUCH! I know all people are not comfortable using an online platform. We will send a receipt if you need one. All funds will go into our business account: MADTIM Enterprises, Inc. and are tax deductible for you. We live across the street and are still using our home address for the school account. Helping us to share our GFM sight and every donation will help us move forward with the restorations and is greatly appreciated.

So I know it's been a while. What have we been up to over at the school? Well Roger and Laura have been in to repair the floor on the main level, and supported the roof in preps for the cupola being placed soon. Watch for the notice and maybe you can come watch with us.

I'd say this social distancing thing is working in our favor. Had some help this weekend from our "twinnies" clearing out the junk trees around the school. Thank goodness because Tim and I may have to forgo the 6' distance rule, I am in need of a massage badly. All 3 ditches cleared!😊

If you haven't driven by in a while, the out building is almost done. Just waiting for warm weather to move dirt, pour some cement and paint.Thanks Randolph Construction you did a great job!

Tim got all 3 old furnaces out with the biggest task, the big old dinosaur is gone! Saving a few remnants for the Boiler Room Tap and Wine Cellar.

So ditch the cutting torch, make way for the sawzall! Just a bit more to go.
1/4 metal and a layer of fire brick inside makes for some heavy lifting. Who needs the gym.

What's on the top of Tim's To Do List this week? Yes, getting this boiler out of the cellar. Still a few bits of coal left behind.
