NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC!

The Downing fire departments annual meeting will be held on Monday July 27th at 6pm. This meeting is open to the public to come voice opinions, concerns, or ask questions about the future of the department. We invite everyone from the community to attend. We hope to see you all!

We are still on for tonight!! The rain is supposed to stop at noon today so we should be clear for the show tonight!! So bring your appetite and your lawn chairs and be ready for great food and a great show!! Plan to start seeing food at 530-6 show to follow at dark!!!

Over this past weekend members of the Downing fire department took a trip to Iowa and took part in IHCC fire school where members took part in different classes to learn new tactics and gain confidence in confined spaces with low visibility. Other members attended a rural pumper operations class where utilizing portable drop tanks and using the water shuttle tactic was a main focus for the incidents where hydrants are not available on site. Also a huge shout out to Warehouse BBQ for the hospitality and getting a good group picture that brought some laughs.
