On Thursday, we had our annual Memorial Day assembly with our 4th and 5th graders. Our Star Spangled Sharks Club presented poppies made by our K-3 students, each one had the name of a fallen soldier from Downingtown, PA. Thanks to Ms. Moore and Mrs. Maguire for organizing, and to Mr. Hook, for talking about his experience in the army and the meaning behind Memorial Day. ❤️🦈🇺🇸

Thank you to all of our students and families who contributed to our food drive for veterans. This morning, our SC Student Council was able to donate 542 items to the Coatesville Veteran’s Medical Center! It was a great experience for our students. Thank you also to Mrs. McLaughlin and Mrs. Verbovszky for organizing this drive along with our students. ❤️🦈

🇺🇸 We had a great turnout this morning for our annual Veteran’s Day Assembly. This day is always a favorite for our students and staff ❤️. Our students learned that the best way to celebrate the day is to thank a veteran for their service. To our Veterans—we honor you today and every day. Thank you!!! ❤️🦈🇺🇸

This afternoon, we welcomed DASD teacher and former Shamona Shark, Mr. Anton Ocepek, to SC. Mr Ocepek is assisting our 4th and 5th graders who are interested in participating in the SC Science Fair this year! Our students are very excited about the Science Fair! ❤️🦈.
