Exciting road improvements are coming to East Brandywine Township! As part of our 2026 Road Program, crews will begin paving and maintenance work on or about Tuesday, September 1st.

We know roadwork can disrupt your daily routine. The contractor is working hard to keep disruptions to a minimum, and we truly appreciate your patience as we upgrade our community's infrastructure!

đźš§Here is what you need to know:

🛠️Paving Details & Driveway Access Impacted Roads:
Crawford Rd, North Buck Rd, & Summerhill Dr.
The Process: Wednesday September 9th, Paving work includes deep asphalt base repairs, leveling, adding crack-reducing fabric, and a fresh 1.5-inch asphalt overlay.

🛣️ Chip Seal Treatment Impacted Roads: Marshall Rd & Highspire Rd Early September: Base repairs will begin. Mid-September:

Chip sealing will take place. Late September / October: A final fog seal application will be completed a few weeks later.

Save the Date! Third Annual Pawpaw Festival is September 19th. Learn about the benefits of Pawpaws. Join Stroud Water Research Center Educators in conducting a stream assessment of the Beaver Creek. The Chester County Beekeepers will be at their hives at the Mill to answer bee questions. Of course there will be Monarch caterpillars and maybe Monarch butterflies to tag.

The East Brandywine Historical Commission had a great time participating in the East Brandywine Baptist Church's Food Truck event at the Community Park this evening!
We Displayed the winning art from our 250th Student Art Contest and presented awards to the students (K through 12);
Displayed our new timeline of our Township’s history.

The awards were presented by Francis Taraschi (the Chair of our Board of Supervisors) at the Brandywine Baptist Church's Food Truck event last Saturday.
