East Brandywine Township Police Department is a full service police organization encompassing 11 square miles and providing police protection on a 24/7 basis. The Police Department is located within the Township Administration building located at 1212/1214 Horseshoe Pike, East Brandywine Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. ian personnel and we are dispatched by Chester County Emergency Services. The EBTPD provides a variety of services including patrol, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, accident investigation, truck enforcement and community service activities. The Chester County Regional Emergency Response Team (CCRERT) is the tactical unit responsible for responding to all high risk incidents and is made up of numerous Police agencies from the North, West and Southern portions of the County. The Serious Crash Assistance Team (S**T) is made up of officers from various Police Departments who specialize in accident investigation and reconstruction of accidents. The third team, the Major Incident Response Team (MIRT), is a large contingent of officers trained to assist any Chester County agency with large scale incidents or needs that are not tactical in nature. The Police Department works in conjunction with other local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Our membership in J-NET (Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Justice Network), MAGLOCLEN (Middle Atlantic-Great Lakes Organization Crime Law Enforcement Network), LEJIS (Law Enforcement Justice Information Sharing Network) and the Chester County Drug Task Force expands our abilities to investigate time consuming and complicated crimes by making additional manpower, expensive equipment and resources available to us. EBTPD Officers participate in and conduct community activities which include station tours, speaking engagements, drug education classes, fingerprinting services and the East Brandywine Township Community Day Celebration. This is a brief overview of the Police Department. Please feel free to call us or stop by at any time for information or to just say hi. Clayton is one of the lucky winners for the police ride to school at the Brandywine Wallace Elementary School Fall Fest! This morning, he cashed in on his prize. Clayton, his sister Carley, and his friend CJ, got to explore the police car before Clayton and CJ were driven to school by Ofc. Rae. We hope you have a great day at school kids 😎

It looks like we're in store for some more heavy winds and rain along with the possibility of a tornado. If the weather is bad, please stay off the roads. High winds mean trees and telephone poles coming down and PennDOT, Comcast, and Verizon can't be everywhere at once. Don't drive through standing water and don't drive over downed power lines. If there is an emergency, please call 911.

The potential for severe thunderstorms producing locally damaging wind gusts has increased for this afternoon and into this evening. We also cannot rule out the possibility of an isolated tornado. The greatest risk for any severe weather remains across eastern Pennsylvania and the Delmarva.

Elsewhere, strong southerly winds and localized flooding due to heavy rain remain threat through tonight.

Daylight Savings Time: because nothing says 'energy conservation' like confusing your sleep schedule, making you late for everything, and resetting your oven clock for the third time this year.

Don't forget to set your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed tonight ⏰

Empowered women empower the world!

On this we would like to celebrate Ofc. Sousa and Ofc. Rae (even though they both refused to pose for a picture).

As of 2023 only 13.8% of full-time police officers in America were women. I think we have two of the best 😎
